Bio

Wendy Fachon is an educator, storyteller, author, and the creator and host of the Story Walking Radio Hour. Through her platform StoryWalking, she blends mindful walking, narrative exploration, and environmental education to inspire deeper personal and ecological awareness.
With more than a decade of experience in nature-based education and therapeutic storytelling, Wendy’s work focuses on helping individuals reconnect with the natural world as a pathway to resilience, healing, creativity, and stewardship. Her radio show, launched in 2019 on the Dreamvisions 7 Radio Network, features story-driven reflections and interviews with educators, scientists, youth leaders, and changemakers dedicated to environmental sustainability and whole-person wellness.
Wendy has developed walking programs and enrichment activities for youth that promote physical activity, self-esteem, curiosity, and environmental responsibility. Her approach encourages individuals of all ages to see themselves as active participants in their own life story — empowered through intentional choices and mindful engagement with nature.
She is also the author of the children’s book The Angel Heart and the creator of Fiddlesticks, both of which reflect her passion for nurturing imagination, compassion, and inner strength.
Wendy’s personal experiences, including caregiving and advocacy, continue to shape her mission to support others in finding meaning, healing, and joy through story, movement, and connection with the natural world.
